A leading international testing, inspection, and certification company is seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join its growing ground engineering team. The Role:
The successful candidate will lead and support a wide range of geotechnical engineering projects, from initial site investigation through to design and construction phases. They will be responsible for providing technical expertise, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring high-quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and delivering geotechnical site investigations
- Interpreting ground investigation data and producing detailed reports
- Designing foundations, retaining structures, and earthworks solutions
- Providing geotechnical advice to multidisciplinary project teams
- Overseeing project budgets, timelines, and client communication
- Mentoring and supporting junior engineers
About the Candidate:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field
- Chartered or working towards chartership (ICE or equivalent)
- Strong experience in ground investigation and geotechnical design
- Proficiency with industry software (e.g., GeoStudio, PLAXIS, or similar)
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
