I had been approached by recruiters many times, but had never really worked with a one; my impression was that “headhunters” were generally secretive about their motivations and client information, which sets up a somewhat adversarial relationship that lacked transparency and integrity. Azra was recommended by a colleague and took a very different approach to find partnerships in the field of forensic engineering. She took the time to listen to what I wanted with respect to my career and work/life balance. She provided detailed information about several firms with opportunities that most closely matched my experience, skillset, and goals. She then worked with me – at my pace – to help identify the best apparent fits and provided feedback and insights based upon her experience in the industry. Ultimately, Azra set up telephone and in-person interviews that rapidly led to an attractive offer of employment.
