Job Overview:
As a Senior Building Enclosure Consultant and People Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of consultants while providing high-level expertise in building enclosure consulting, design, performance, and testing. You will ensure that your team delivers exceptional consulting services to clients, overseeing complex projects, and maintaining high standards for quality and safety. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of building enclosure consultants, engineers, and technical professionals.
- Provide expert guidance in the, inspection, and performance testing of building enclosure systems, including roofs, walls, windows, doors, and foundations.
- Oversee the completion of high-profile projects, ensuring they meet client requirements, deadlines, and industry standards.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, providing strategic advice and solutions for building enclosure performance and issues.
- Review and approve technical reports, project documentation, and deliverables produced by your team.
- Lead quality control and assurance processes, ensuring that all work adheres to company standards and best practices.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging professional development and growth.
- Provide technical leadership and support in the development of new business opportunities and client relationships.
- Manage multiple projects and client accounts simultaneously, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national building codes, as well as sustainability standards and regulations.
- Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and proactively share this knowledge with your team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering , Architecture.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, Registered Architect (RA)
- 8+ years of experience in building enclosure consulting, including at least 3 years in a leadership or people management role.
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in building enclosure systems and materials.
- Proven ability to manage and lead multidisciplinary teams, ensuring the successful completion of complex projects.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with performance testing, including water penetration, air leakage, and thermal analysis.
- Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, ASTM, AAMA).
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, and building performance simulation tools).
- Ability to provide leadership in client-facing scenarios and foster long-term client relationships.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience OR interest in mentoring and developing junior staff.
- Familiarity with building enclosure systems in commercial, institutional, and high-performance buildings.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
