Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Senior Accident Reconstruction Specialist to join their dynamic team of experts. If you have extensive experience in accident reconstruction and possess a deep understanding of crash dynamics, engineering, and forensic analysis, this is an excellent opportunity to make an impact in the field.The Senior Accident Reconstruction Specialist will be responsible for conducting detailed investigations and analyses of complex vehicle accidents, providing expert testimony, and generating reports for various legal, insurance, and law enforcement entities. This is a high-level, specialized role requiring both field expertise and strong analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive accident investigations, including scene analysis, vehicle examination, and data collection.
- Utilize advanced tools and technologies (e.g., Crash Data Retrieval systems, simulation software, laser scanning) to analyze accident evidence and reconstruct crash scenarios.
- Analyze physical evidence, roadway conditions, vehicle dynamics, and human factors contributing to accidents.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, including clear and concise findings, opinions, and recommendations.
- Provide expert testimony in court and depositions, as required.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, legal teams, and insurance companies on case strategy and accident analysis.
- Mentor and lead junior reconstruction specialists, providing guidance and technical support.
- Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and legal regulations related to accident reconstruction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in accident reconstruction, with a focus on vehicle dynamics, crash analysis, and forensic engineering.
- PE License required.
- Certification in accident reconstruction (e.g., ACTAR) is highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant software tools (e.g., PC-Crash, V-Track, ARAS 360, etc.) and methodologies.
- Proven experience providing expert testimony in legal proceedings.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical findings to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Willingness to travel to accident sites as needed.
